The Strep Monster

UPDATE: The strep monster got me after all. I woke up Saterday with cottage cheese throat and fever. Joy of my life.

This vile, nasty monster has decided to make himself at home in my house.

One after another, the Strep monster has attacked my children, leaving them feverish, listless and overall feeling horrible. (My oldest daughter turned down pizza for pete's sake!).

Beyond the financial worries - no insurance - this mommy is totally worn out. I've had children waking up crying due to a sore throat or headache or stomach ache (did you know that was a symptom of strep??) every night for the past week.

Then they come sleep with me. Every mommy instinct in me wants to hold and snuggle my babies until they feel better, all night long if I have to - but I have to get up in the morning if I want to be able to pay for the doctors visits and antibiotics they need.

I am EXHAUSTED! Thankfully the last of them are now on the mend. Join with me in praying the nasty monster skips me. I'm almost done with the year!
